Dear Fulvia Driver
As you know, most of our cars were build locally from CKD kits. And were know there a certain percentage of local content had to be used. But you woudl assume they were at least build to the same plan, one should assume ? Apparently not so. If you have an S2 car check you wiring loom. if it is on the right sill, it is WRONG. Though this may have been done by the factory.
As the wring loom is original from Italy, it is designed to run on the left sill.
Running in on the right sill will have the following drawbacks.
a) connections are over the steering column where they are hardly accessible instead over the bin in the passengers foot well as shown above.
b) the hand brake cable will run diagonally over the floor instead of rectangular along the center seat support
c) the connection for the number plate light and the boot light will be swapped.
d) the cable to the tank becomes to short, as the fuel sensor sits on the left side of the tank
none of the above is the end of you Fulvia, but it is not right. So for the second time, we swap it around
